We love our Gators
As a community-owned utility, we know it's important to support those things that generate excitement in Gainesville and contribute to the quality of life. That's why GRU is proud to be the "Official Energy Sponsor of the Florida Gators."
With this unique sponsorship, GRU is able to share game day excitement with many of our customers through ticket giveaways and other activities. We directly support the following UF sports:
- Men & Women's Basketball
- Baseball
- Softball
- Volleyball
- Soccer
- Men & Women's Tennis
- Track and Field
- Men & Women's Swimming
And GRU helps turn Gainesville completely orange and blue by sponsoring the annual "Orange and Blue Weekend" in April each year.
In addition, our "Game Day with the Gators" program gives us the opportunity to provide hundreds of Gator tickets to elementary and middle schools in Alachua County as well as local youth agencies.
