GRU Unveils New Lobby, New Hours
Improved handicap accessibility and increased customer privacy are among the upgrades

Customers who visit Gainesville Regional Utilities’ downtown lobby will be greeted with a fresh new look and enhanced service options. The utility today, October 1, unveiled a redesign of the customer service and cashier areas located in the GRU Administration Building at 301 SE 4th Avenue.
Upgrades include improved handicap accessibility and increased customer privacy. Customers will also benefit from newly installed monitors that will allow them to review their account information more easily.
GRU also launched new customer service hours. The lobby will be open 8 AM-5 PM weekdays, except Wednesdays 9 AM-5 PM. The drive-thru will accept payments weekdays 7:30 AM-6 PM. Customer service representatives will be available by phone 8 AM-6 PM weekdays, except Wednesdays 9 AM-6 PM.
