Welcome to GRU's Storm Central. From this Web page location, up-to-date information will be published to keep everyone informed for this year's storm season. GRU works hard to provide you our customers with the most reliable, safe and valuable services and we are prepared to go into action if our community has an active storm season. After all, our employees are your neighbors and GRU customers too.

To the right, important GRU contact phone numbers are listed for you to easily access if you need assistance. To the left is a list of topics linking you to detailed information concerning storm preparations, expectations and processes for restoration efforts.

In the event of a storm impacting our community this season, you will be able to see communications for restorations efforts posted here with maps indicating the process. If you cannot access this Web page during the restoration efforts, our Customer Service Representatives will have this information readily available at (352) 334-3434. We also will have area businesses, such as grocery and convenience stores, who will allow GRU to post restoration information at their business locations. As always, restoration updates will be sent continually to the local media - radio, TV and newspaper.

GRU conducted customer focus groups to see how we performed during previous hurricane restoration efforts. Overall, our customers said we did a good job and those customers suggested ways we could improve our efforts. These suggestions are contained within Storm Central and in the 2007 GRU Storm Season Preparation Guide.
