Originally built in 1930, our Main Street Plant served the city of Gainesville for 20 years before being remodeled and expanded

The plant discharges high quality effluent to the Sweetwater Branch, which flows across Paynes' Prairie and enters Alachua Sink. Currently, it serves residents in the southeast and northeast areas and is permitted to treat 7.5 million gallons per day.
