Reflective Roof Coating Rebate
This rebate is to encourage the application of reflective roof coating to mobile home roofs.
Reflective roof coatings help seal the roof of a mobile home while at the same time provide excellent reflectivity to reduce radiant heat gain to the roof's surface. The coating is typically applied by a roller in two coats and can be installed by the home or business owner in most cases. The benefits of the coating include reducing heat absorption and increasing the reflectance of the roof surface, which reduces the energy use of the air conditioner and helps to lower your electric bill.
Residential: $70 Rebate
Eligibility:
- Must be a GRU electric customer with service to a mobile home
- Rebate only applies to location with GRU electric service
- Mobile home must have air conditioning
- Roof coating may be applied by the home or business owner
- Rebate form must be completed and turned in to GRU along with receipt for material within 30 days of purchase.
- Roof coating must be applied prior to issuance of rebate
- Onsite verification of installation may be required
- Rebate may be used in conjunction with other GRU rebates
Restrictions:
- Rebates are subject to change without notice
- All rebates are subject to approval and are contingent upon fund availability
- Limit one (1) Reflective Roof Coating Rebate per customer
How to Apply for a Rebate
- Contact us at (352) 393-1460 to receive a rebate form
- Purchase coating and apply to roof
- Complete and mail the rebate form along with proof of purchase to: PO Box 147117, Station A114, Gainesville, FL 32614
- Upon receipt of completed rebate form and proof of purchase, GRU may contact you to arrange an onsite verification of application
- Rebate will be issued in the form of a check or a credit on your GRU utility bill
- Please allow 2 - 4 weeks for processing
