

GRU has launched a company-wide effort to cut costs and keep prices down for customers. In March, we announced an immediate hiring freeze and began efforts to trim budgets. The company has identified approximately $20 million in budget reductions for fiscal years 2009 and 2010.
As part of this budget-review process, we have temporarily suspended 6 rebate programs:
This will allow GRU to focus dollars spent on rebate programs that offer customers the most savings. We remain committed to helping customers lower their bills through education and other rebate programs.
