GRU's Rebate Program

High Efficiency Central Air Conditioner Rebate

This rebate is to encourage the use of high efficiency central air conditioners and heat pumps.

Older central air conditioner units can be very costly to operate and maintain. New units are more efficient and use less energy while lowering your electric bill. Annual energy savings for a 15 SEER or greater unit could be up to 30 percent when compared to a 12 SEER unit. Additionally, some super efficient air and heat pumps are equipped with two-stage capacity. Two-Stage compressor capability allows the system to operate at lower capacity during moderate weather. This results in cycles that are more efficient. It also allows systems to remove more humidity from the air. When the weather is hot, they step up to full-speed operation. High efficiency units not only run more efficiently and cost less to maintain they also may be better able to meet your air conditioning comfort needs.
