GRU’s Rebate Program

Duct Leak Repair Rebate

The intent of this rebate is to encourage cost effective energy reduction through the use of professional duct leak repair.

Duct leaks cause a significant increase in air conditioning energy use. Leaks in joints between ductwork and around air handler cabinets allow expensive conditioned air to escape into attics. Leaky ductwork makes heating and cooling systems work longer and harder to maintain comfort in a home. They can also cause negative pressure in the house which can allow moisture and, in some instances, carbon monoxide to enter into the home. Sealing leaks can improve the efficiency and performance of your central heating and cooling systems.
