GRU Instant Double Rebate Offer
This summer there isn’t a better time to take advantage of GRU’s Instant Double Rebate when you install high efficiency air conditioning systems.
GRU customers can receive up to eleven-hundred dollars in instant rebates when upgrading to energy saving air conditioning and heating systems between
February 25 and March 14.

Eligible Recipients
- Customers who purchase the products from a participating GRU Partnering Contractor
- All installations must be located within GRU’s electric service territory
Customer Requirements
- Purchase and have eligible equipment installed during the consumer purchase and installation period.
Equipment Requirements
- Valid on 5 tons (60,000 BTU) or smaller systems
- System must have a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) of 15 or greater
- Super Efficient Air Conditioners must have a SEER of 15 or greater AND a two-stage compressor capability
- System must be ENERGY STAR® qualified
Contractor Requirements
- Rebate form must be completed by contractor and turned in to GRU along with contractor's invoice and Certificate of ARI Certified Performance within 30 days of installation
- Contractor must use approved rebate form with unique claim number (NO photocopies will be accepted)
- Rebate can be used in conjunction with other rebate programs
- An approved Manual J calculation for sizing the system must be completed
