GRU's Residential Natural Gas Rebate Program
Natural Gas is safe, clean burning, efficient, reliable and may lower electric bills. GRU's natural gas prices are among the lowest in the state.
CENTRAL HEAT PROGRAM
$300 Rebate
Replace an electric, lp or oil furnace with an energy efficient natural gas central heat system using an electric ignition
Qualifications
You must have an existing gas water heater or be replacing a water heater with a natural gas model
$100 Rebate
Add an additional natural gas furnace
Restrictions:1. Rebates are subject to change without notice
2. All rebates are subject to approval
3. Rebates are contingent on natural gas availability
4. Rebates assume gas water heating as base load
5. Proof of purchase and installation required
How to Apply for a Natural Gas Rebate
- Review rebate details that apply to you
- Contact GRU Gas Marketing at (352) 393-1464 to verify rebate eligibility and schedule a home visit with one of our gas sales representatives before replacing any equipment. All forms will be completed on this visit.
- Arrange for conversion/installation and contact GRU Gas Marketing to schedule an onsite verification
- Upon installation and receipt of "proof of purchase" your rebate check will be issued within 2 - 3 weeks
