Choose Your Bill Format
Choose from two options — a Summary or Itemized utility bill
GRU offers all its customers a choice in the type of utility bill they receive — a Summary utility bill or an Itemized utility bill. Both bills show the same basic utility service information — from and to meter reading dates, previous and current meter readings, number of days of service, average daily consumption for the current, previous and the same month last year, and other customer information.
Summary Bill
This bill is designed for customers who want a simplified, easy to read bill with single line-item charges for each utility service and state and local charges.
On the Summary utility bill, charges are shown like this:
Itemized Bill
This bill is suited for customers who want a much more detailed bill with multiple line-item charges that include unit rates and a breakdown of state and local charges for each utility service.
On the Itemized utility bill, the same charges are shown like this:
Your Choice
Residential customers normally receive a Summary utility bill, and commercial customers normally receive an Itemized bill. But it is your choice which bill you receive.
Residential Customer:
Take no action. You will automatically receive the Summary bill format. Call (352) 334-3434 and tell a customer service representative you wish to receive the Itemized bill format.
Non-Residential Customer
Take no action. You will automatically receive the Itemized bill format. Call (352) 334-3434 and tell a customer service representative that you wish to receive the Summary bill format.
