  • It also is very convenient. The meter will be read when your tenant cancels service, and the account automatically will be switched to your name. And for your protection, the service will not be switched automatically to your name if the utilities have been disconnected for non-payment. Simply call our customer service department to have service reinstated.
  • The Leave it on! service even gives early notice. When an account is switched to your name, you will be mailed a courtesy notice. To turn the service off, simply call us. Also, the notice GRU sends may be your first notice that your tenant is moving. This gives you a head start on preparing for the next rental.
