Primary Rate Interface (PRI) Service
PRI service channels are carried on a TDM circuit, and each contains 23 D-channels (data channels) and one B-channel (control and signaling channel). GRUCom offers PRI services powered by the Lucent Compact Switch (LCS) soft switch. The Lucent switch contains redundant DS3 interface cards as well as redundant SS7 hardware, switch processor cards and switch fabric cards. PRI services come with one phone number, and customers may purchase additional numbers if needed. PRIs can be transported to the customer location via GRUCom fiber or carrier UNE.
