Monitoring water heater use and settings can save you money
If your business requires the use of dishwashers that are not equipped with pre-heaters or boosters, you may be able to reduce the water heater setting to 120 degrees. Using minimum water heater settings reduces the energy demand of the hot water tank and of the excessive heat given off by the water heater that must be removed by air-conditioning. Here are some other water heating tips to save you money:
- Lower the setting, lower the bill
- Disconnect or turn off hot water to bathrooms
- Insulate accessible hot water pipes
