Funding City Services
As a municipal utility, we support services – such as fire and police – through an annual transfer to the City of Gainesville's General Fund.
Customer Financial Assistance
We offer programs to help customers pay their bills and get connected. Customers can support our Project Share payment-assistance program through donations.
Community Investments
We financially support programs and events that enhance quality of life through charitable contributions and event sponsorships.
Tours and Speakers
We educate the community on what we do and how they can save money and energy by offering tours of our facilities and volunteering to speak at schools and events.
Outreach
Our senior leadership wants to understand what’s happening in the community and how we can help. Our outreach activities include hosting town hall meetings, participating in faith-based initiatives and attending neighborhood association meetings. Contact Community Relations for more information.
Events
Our annual events include the Community Energy Fair, which teaches customers how to save money and energy, and TREE-mendous Appreciation Day, which provides customers with free trees to help replace some of the tree canopy that we remove to maintain safe and reliable electric service.
