Gainesville joined the Cities for Climate Protection Campaign in 2002. Three years later, our community joined cities across the nation and pledged to reduce carbon.
The City’s Goal
To reduce carbon emissions to 7 percent below 1990 levels. Gainesville will reach that target in 2013.
